Monthly Meet Ups
ANNA CLUB
For Girls Who've Been Through The Storm
🌟 Why play?
It works. Research shows that pretend play helps reduce trauma symptoms + improves emotional regulation in children—by up to 71%, especially those recovering from crisis even, 1 year later.  Finding ways to bring healing to the emotional side of Hurricane Helene is not easy—but this is working. The girls are responding. The moms are connecting. And the simple power of play is opening doors we never could’ve forced open.

Locations in: Burnsville/Spruce Pine
Candler/Asheville + Marion, NC

A monthly playdate for girls ages
6–13 who have experienced difficult things after Hurricane Helene.

Fear of rain? Fear of Storms? Trouble Sleeping?

Each gathering is a gentle, joy-filled space where girls can:

•Bring their doll and play with American Girl accessories

•Opportunity to apply for (free) Anna the Appalachian doll if she doesn’t have one.

•Make new friends, feel seen and supported

•Begin to heal through connection and community

**To Apply for a doll you must FIRST attend one Anna Club Event**

"It not only was great for her, it was healing for me to connect with other moms and share our stories. Knowing we are not alone is so important."

"You and your beautiful girls have created something so special with IMPACT and I hope you are all so proud. I know you all will have continued blessings coming your way.”

Each location has lots of themed play sets!

Take Home A FREE AG Doll Outfit Each Visit!

🎁 A Special Gift at Every Anna Club

At every Anna Club playdate, each girl gets to choose a FREE American Girl–style outfit to take home for her doll — a $20 value! 👗💖

It’s our way of reminding every child that she is seen, valued, and celebrated. These little surprises spark big smiles and make each gathering even more special. Because when girls feel loved, they learn to pass that love on. 🌸

“My girls had the BEST time!!”

“They were asking about the next event before we got to the car!”
“Both girls made friends and exchanged numbers to keep playing together.”
“We loved the unstructured play—it gave them space to just be kids.”

About Anna Club

About Anna Club 🎀
Anna Club was founded by Angela Tilsher and her daughters, Kenzie and Kayleigh, after Hurricane Helene devastated communities across Western North Carolina. What began as a simple idea—to restore and gift gently used American Girl dolls to girls who had lost so much—quickly became a movement of hope and healing.

Today, Anna Club brings those same girls (and many new ones) together each month to play, connect, and heal through community. What started around one family’s dining room table has grown into a network of families, volunteers, and churches helping children find peace, confidence, and joy through play.

At the heart of it all is a simple belief: healing happens when we gather, play, and remember we are not alone. 💕
🌸 Building New Memories Through Joy

This past year, our themed Anna Club events have brought girls together to celebrate hope, friendship, and new beginnings. From tea parties to fall playdates, every gathering is designed to help replace hard memories with joyful ones. 💕

Each moment of laughter, every shared story, and every doll-sized celebration reminds these girls that even after the storm—beauty and healing are still possible. 🌤️
